Feng Shui - Top Tips for Your Life
Elizabeth Chamberlain is a feng shui and design consultant who lives and works in Los Angeles. She has put together a quick 3 minute video with some feng shui tips. As a quick summary, here is what Elizabeth recommends as her top tips (she presents them in reverse order, so we'll do the same):
10. You should keep the windows in your house clean. She says that windows represent opportunity and you want to be able to see your opportunities coming.
9. Replace your light bulbs as soon as they burn out. Different areas of your home represent different parts of your life. You don't won't to these parts of your home to be "in the dark" because this means these parts of your life are in the dark.
8. Keep and knobs and door handles throughout your home tightened. She says that by doing this you can get a better "handle" on things.
7. Keep all of your plants healthy and alive. Living plants represent health and growth and if they are sick or dying they only represent death.
6. Leaving the toilet lid up can drain energy. She advises always keeping the toilet lid down when not in use to stop that energy drain.
5. The area underneath your bed is of particular importance because it is so close to your body when you are sleeping. You should remove all the clutter from underneath your bed if you are having trouble sleeping. Elizabeth says that the clutter will drain energy, and make it difficult to sleep.
4. So that you can "see yourself more clearly" it's important to keep your mirrors clean.
3. So that people can find you more easily, you should make sure that the entrance way to your home is clearly marked. By doing this, you can make sure that the energy can find you easily as well.
2. Check your plumbing carefully for any drips or leaks and have them repaired. This represents your money going "down the drain".
